1.Christ the Redeemer
Christ the Redeemer is the largest art deco statue in the world. It located at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Built as a symbol of Brazilian Christianity and love of citizens toward Jesus. It is the 3rd tallest statue of Jesus in the world after Poland’s Christ the King and Bolivia’s Cristo de la Concordia. Christ the Redeemer positioned in the Tijuca Forest National Park, at the top of the Corcovado Mountain.
This eye catching structure created by French sculptor Paul Landowski. And it built by the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in cooperation with the French engineer Albert Caquot and Constructed between 1922 and 1931. The accurate dimensions of Christ the Redeemer statue as follows: the height of the figure is 38 meters; the height of the pedestal is 8 meters, with weight of 1145 tons and arm stretch of 30 meters.
Today the statue has become the cultural and social icon of Rio de Janeiro as well as of Brazil. On July 7, 2007 (7-7-07) an organization announced a “new” set of the Seven Wonders including the Christ the Redeemer as a one of seven wonders of modern world.
2.The Roman Colosseum, Italy
The world famous Roman Colosseum is an oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. It also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre. The Colosseum built by Emperor Vespasian, founder of the Flavian dynasty, for Titus, his successor, in 70-80 AD.
It is the biggest amphitheatre ever built . The Colosseum has over 80 entrances and can accommodate about 50,000 spectators at a time. It probably built for following reason: As a gift to the Roman society from the Flavian Dynasty to increase their popularity, to stage various forms of entertainment and programmers, and to showcase prosperity of Roman engineering techniques to the world.
Previously, it used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology. It was notorious for the death of animals unbelievably but as many as 5000 animal slaughtered in one day.
In today’s world The Roman Colosseum is the main attraction of tourist in Italy attracting more than 4 million travelers every year being a wonder of modern’s world.

That mostly carved from the kaleidoscopic sandstone. Due to its magnificent attraction of mindboggling architecture Petra also picturised in some renowned movies like The Mummy returns, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Arabian Nights, Passion in the Desert, Mortal Kombat as well as Petra appeared in the novels Left Behind Series, Appointment with Death, The Eagle in the Sand, The Red Sea Sharks .
Petra has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since1985 and also listed in wonders of new world on 7-7 -2017.
